Our Services
24 hrs Residential Services
“Our goal is to assist each person we serve in a home that will support and enable him to achieve his short and long-term objectives. At Allied Center, we aim at enabling a life changing experience for the persons we serve. We specialise in the design and delivery of services and programs that are tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of each person we serve and the family. Our programs support a wide range of age-group arrangements from adolescents, adults and elders with disabilities support services, and 24 hour supervised residential homes.
These program models provide a range of services and accommodate a wide range of support needs including services designed to support people who may have multiple disabilities, complex medical and/or behavioural health needs, and whose needs are changing as a result of aging or other circumstances.
All our programs are staffed with a dedicated team whose major role is to assist and support our clients and become more independent in completing their activities of daily living.Clients in our home are also taught social skills and relationship building, community based interactions, developmental skills, communication and safety skills.
Home-based support services
Our Home-based support services provide meaningful and impactful learning opportunities that enable children with ASD to understand and apply the most critical skills in their home or as well as other environments.
We work with families and their insurance companies to identify the best times to schedule our one-on-one in-home ABA therapy services which typically look at five to 20 hours per week. After discussions with the family and a comprehensive assessment that identifies a child’s strengths and areas to target for improvement, we develop a personalised plan which includes the development of adaptive skills and strategies to decrease challenging behavior. The treatment may include a direct service provider who implements the plan developed and supervised by a BCBA. The therapy may also include parent consultation with the BCBA to ensure the parent has the ability to implement the treatment plan with gradual independence when the service providers are not present.
Children with ASD often need additional support with language development and communication, social skills and imaginative play, self-care, pre-academics/academics, and mastering skills that allow them to communicate their needs and desires in a way that decreases their need to engage in challenging behaviors. All these skill areas will be assessed and be included in the treatment plan based on the child’s individual needs.
ABI Support services
An Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is an injury to the brain that has occurred after birth, which results in any combination of focal and diffuse central nervous system dysfunction, both immediate and/or delayed at the brain stem level and above. This dysfunction of the central nervous system is acquired through the interaction of any external force and the body including blows to the head and violent movements of the body (Traumatic Brain Injury); as well as through oxygen deprivation; infection; toxicity; surgery; and vascular disorders not associated with aging. This dysfunction is not congenital, developmental or degenerative.
Our ABI programs employ a treatment model of care, focused on patient need and driven by evidence-based assessment and outcome measurement, providing the ideal setting for systematic and efficient multidisciplinary evaluations of concussive traumatic brain injury.
